A problem with a survey has led the American Institute of CPAs to abandon its plans to issue a list of Top Technologies for 2014. Although a survey was conducted to provide information to assemble the list, what was described as a "technical issue" caused the AICPA to forego making results public.
The official word from the AICPA's Information Management and Technology Assurance Section is the following: "A technical issue with the 2014 Top Technology Initiatives Survey resulted in a much lower response rate from U.S. public accounting firms than in previous years, and may have affected the reliability of overall rankings."
