Avalara has introduced two applications that are designed to enable retailers and ecommerce companies to automatically collect sales tax exemption certificates at point of sale kiosks and online shopping carts. The new products are Avalara CertCapture for Retail and CertCapture for ecommerce.
The products are designed to work with a variety of mobile devices for in-store and online customers. Tax exemption certificate information can be entered on mobile POS devices such as iPad, Galaxy and Kindle Fire tablets and in online shopping.
Once customers enter the information, Avalara CertCapture digitally stores tax exemption certificates in a central repository. The system produces reports, monitors expired certificates and manage certificates.
