Cloud software company Xero has created a new department covering a wide range of its business. The New Zealand-based organization has named Amy Vetter as chief relationship officer for the partner channel in the Americas.

Blackbaud has promoted Patrick Hodges to the position of SVP of global sales. It is the first time the nonprofit software company has had a global sales leader and the Charleston, S.C.-based organization described the move as reinforcing its commitment to worldwide growth.

Abila, which makes nonprofit accounting and association management software, has been acquired by Community Brands. Community Brands was formed recently by combining Abila, Aptify and Your Membership into one company. Terms were not disclosed.
