Intuit continued its move toward opening up its professional software packages with third-party products, The tax software company had signaled that direction in December when it announced a plan to integrate professional tax applications, starting with ProConnect Tax Online with Karbon, a practice management software line.

Intuit is expanding support for its Platinum and Elite level ProAdvisors. The software company is now providing 24/7 chat and phone support, including specialized support. 

FYIsoft has recently hired Sev Onyshkevych as chief marketing officer. The Naples, Fla.-based company said he will be leading sales and marketing after it launches a full suite of FP&A applications on February 6.
