Cherry Bekaert has hired Robert Misch as director of the firm’s digital advisory practice. He will lead the Digital Transformation Services (DTS) service line, which includes strategy and enablement, infrastructure, business optimization and transactional related digital services.

Altruic Advisors, an accounting firm specializing in nonprofit clients, has promoted Sarah Taylor to partner. Taylor, who joined the firm in 2017, became accounting services manager in 2018.

The Internal Revenue Service needs to increase the availability of online tools, national taxpayer advocate Erin M. Collins said in her recent report to Congress. That includes reducing barriers to electronic filing, utilizing scanning technology and expanding the use of digital documents and signatures.
