Abila, which produces nonprofit accounting and fund-raising software, has named four of its resellers to the Abila President's Circle. The four were honored at the company's recent conference, AUDC 2015 (Abila Users and Developers Conference) in Austin, Texas. The software company also presented excellence awards to several of its nonprofit customers.

A CPA operating in Morgantown, West Va., has been indicted for tax fraud. CPA Gregory N. Cason, 45, was indicted this month on one count of conspiring to defraud the Internal Revenue Service and in conspiring to prepare and file false tax forms. Besides the conspiracy charge, he was also indicted on two counts of preparing and filing bogus tax returns.

Xero has added Inventory management and Online Quotes to its Internet-based accounting software. The New Zealand-based company also introduced Side-by-Side Files and Practice Reports for its cloud-based application, while also adding additional bank feeds to the product.
