Sage North America has created a program that authorizes independent companies to host its Peachtree and Simply Accounting applications. For the launch of the Small Business Accounting Hosting Provider program Sage also announced four hosting companies that have been approved for participation.

SmartVault has released a year-end service update that provides email notification via which users can set up the system to automatically receive email notifications when documents are uploaded or downloaded, as well as specify how frequently they want to receive notifications. Also available is full-text search that enables users to search for uploaded files using keywords contained in a Word, Excel, PowerPoint or PDF document.

A mobile product campaign that include some applications being introduced this year and numerous "proof of concept" versions of CCH's software offerings was outlined today at CCH's user conference by Kevin Robert, CEO of Wolters Kluwers Tax & Accounting. That includes proof-of-concept mobile versions of ProSystem fx  and an application for checking filing status of electronic returns that will be delivered in 2012.

Interactive Decision Tools have been added to Thomson Reuters Checkpoint platform. The tools utilize an interview format that guides subscribers through the decision-making process and relevant considerations to reach a conclusion. There are also embedded calculations and editorial guidance to help users answer questions with the interviews.
