Rippling Expands EOR Program 2
Rippling has expanded its Employer of Record program to eight new countries. The change is part of the latest monthly release of the office application.
With EOR, a user can establish a legal entity in a country outside the United States, giving the user the ability to hire and pay employees in other countries. The latest additions are Colombia, Costa Rica, Denmark, Israel, New Zealand, the Philippines, Switzerland and Turkey.
In addition, Rippling is providing hourly workers with a weekly break down of pay on paystubs so they can see hours worked, including overtime, for each of the weeks included in the pay period.
Users can now down payroll comparison data as a CSV file. Rippling says it has also provided more efficient time-entry CSV imports for Time an Attendance since users can automatically reconcile timestamps based on the employee’s timezone and
filter down to a specific set of imported entries and delete only those
They can also import thousands of entries in seconds, versus 30 minutes.

Republic Bank to Stay in Tax Biz
Republic Bancorp, embroiled in a fight with regulators over refund loans, plans to stay in the tax business no matter the outcome, according to CEO Steve Trager. Trager made the comments at a presentation at InvestKY, an equity investment conference held earlier this month.
Gilman Plans $900K Debt Offering

GilmanCioccia, which offers financial planning and tax services, plans a $900,000 debt offering. The information was contained in a filing with the SEC that was made earlier this month. As is typical of such filings, little additional information was given, except for the fact the money being raised is not intended for merger and acquisition activity.

Thomson Reuters has enhanced its Checkpoint research platform so that favorite documents can now be organized, flagged and annotated. There is also intelligent linking to related source materials, analysis, tools, news and courses. The company is also making Reuters news via the new Thomson Reuters News & Insight, which is now available along with analysis and content published under its PPC, RIA and WG&L brands.

The Securities and Exchange Commission has barred Edwin "Ted" Reese Davis Jr., who continued to audit public companies despite the fact that his license had expired nearly three years ago in Utah. Davis has also not paid fees since that time.

Members receive access to Sage's NFP fund accounting and fundraising software, along with discounted training, technical support and market services, among other benefits.
Thomson Promotes Mackintosh
Thomson Reuters has promoted Teresa Mackintosh, who had held executive roles at its tax and accounting business and had worked there since 1996. Mackintosh is now SVP and general manager of the Indirect, Property & Trust organization and has moved from Dexter, Mich., to the company's offices in Carrollton, Texas.

Paychex new SVP of sales has left the position after five days on the job. The payroll services vendor said that Rebecca F. Bernson resigned the position for personal reasons on June 6. Bernson, who most recently worked for rival Automatic Data Processing, started the job on June 1.

Thomas Reuters says it plans to sell its $450 million healthcare business that provides provides data, analytics and performance benchmarking solutions and services to companies, government agencies and healthcare professionals. The company says the step is being taken to concentrate on core markets.
