Rippling Expands EOR Program 2
Rippling has expanded its Employer of Record program to eight new countries. The change is part of the latest monthly release of the office application.
With EOR, a user can establish a legal entity in a country outside the United States, giving the user the ability to hire and pay employees in other countries. The latest additions are Colombia, Costa Rica, Denmark, Israel, New Zealand, the Philippines, Switzerland and Turkey.
In addition, Rippling is providing hourly workers with a weekly break down of pay on paystubs so they can see hours worked, including overtime, for each of the weeks included in the pay period.
Users can now down payroll comparison data as a CSV file. Rippling says it has also provided more efficient time-entry CSV imports for Time an Attendance since users can automatically reconcile timestamps based on the employee’s timezone and
filter down to a specific set of imported entries and delete only those

Avalara has hired Jay Lee as its new chief marketing officer. That means the sales tax company will have new people in its top sales and marketing jobs as Pascal Van Dooren, former chief revenue officer, left in October.
Xero Tightening Key Integrations
Xero is deepening the integration of its cloud software with major products and platforms. Those integrations include those with Google, Microsoft Office 365 and HubSpot, the company said recently.
Intuit Intros QB Live Bookkeeping
Intuit formally introduced QuickBooks Live Bookkeeping this week. The software company had been publicly informing the public about various tests and components of the program, including pricing tests for the last few months.
Thomson Reuters Debuts K-1 Analyzer
Thomson Reuters has introduced a K-1 Analzyer powered by Crowe. The new application, aimed at handing large and complex K-1s, was debuted at this week’s Synergy conference.
Xero Hits Two Million Subscribers
Xero concluded its half ended September 30 with its second net profit. The company also said it passed another milestone, 2 million subscribers, during the recently completed half, an increase of 30 percent over the number of subscribers at the end of the first half of fiscal 2019.
Bookkeeping Certification Available
Illumeo has made available its online, on-demand Professional Bookkeeping Certification. The certification program is comprised by twelve video-based ‘core’ courses, each with it’s a quiz and final test.

Crowe has picked two executives to work in the areas of technology and security. The Chicago, Ill.-based accounting firm recently named Rex Voorheis as its first chief information security officer and Steve Strammello as chief risk officer.

ADP Compliance on Demand has been introduced to enable businesses to stay informed about wage and hour compliance. The resources include a comprehensive library of federal, state and local materials, a compliance help desk, and a community forum for crowd-sourcing opinions and best practices.
Armanino Debuts Attestation Software
Armanino has introduced TrustExplorer 2.0, which the San Ramon, Calif.-based accounting firm calls the world’s first real-time attestation software. Armanino said TrustExporer utilizes blockchain technology and can produce an instant downloadable report, backed by the firm’s opinion.
Thomson's Fleszar Moves to SafeSend
Long-time Thomson Reuters executive, Scott Fleszar, has become chief operating and strategy officer for cPaperless SafeSend. In December 1994, Fleszar joined Creative Solutions and came to Thomson in 1999 after it purchased the former company.
