Surgent has expanded its online learning center, Surgent IQ's Partnership Program, with a suite of introductory accounting courses from AME Learning. Surgent this week described the addition as extending “Surgent IQ’s offering to meet the needs of professionals with atypical educational backgrounds.”
Surgent noted the evolution of the accounting industrial means accounting and finance roles are being filled by such professionals with the new line of foundational courses from Surgent IQ designed to meet their needs.
AME Learning's AME Engage platform is based on the its Accounting Map Tutorials which the company said “translates accounting concepts into common experiences and terminology that make it easily understandable to learners with little or no accounting or finance background.”
The online, and self-paced courses include Financial Accounting Fundamentals, designed for professionals at all levels of foundational financial accounting knowledge; Accounting Fundamentals for Bookkeeping for course for current and aspiring bookkeepers; and Small Business Accounting Fundamentals to help small business owners develop financial literacy.
