Wolters Kluwer has reported the malware that attacked its systems last week was a new strain. The company said there was no existing antivirus software that could detect it.

Xero has named Tony Ward as the new president of Xero Americas. His hiring fills a vacancy created when Keri Gohman was named chief platform business officer in November. 

Thomson Reuters reported a good start to 2019 as it rebounded to a profit while revenue rose by 8 percent on an IFRS basis from a year ago. The company is starting its first full year without its Financial & Risk business, which was spun off to Blackline and now operates as Refinitiv.
