Intuit has changed the name and processes involved with its QuickBooks Live Assisted Bookkeeping service. The program will now be called to QuickBooks Live Expert Assisted.

 A U.S. District Court has barred Aric Elliot Schreiner and his company, the Columbia CPA Group, from abusing the use of charitable remainder annuity trusts for tax dodges. He has also been ordered this month to disgorge $400,000 in proceeds he earned.

Accounting firm Sikich has received a $250-million minority investment from Bain Capital.  It is the latest in a series of private equity investments in accounting firms.
