Doc.It Adds Autofiling

Doc.It has added an autofiling feature that enables firms to file documents from tax, time and billing, and other software programs to a designated Doc.It User Inbox, a folder in a Doc.It Work Binder or to the client's Archive. The latest additions to the software also include time-and-billing integration and workflow enhancements.

Users can autofile and PDF documents. They can one-off documents being handled at the accountant level and large batches of documents such as invoices or tax returns being run by administrative staff. The autofilinh system automatically applies the policy, such as (document name, folder location and retention management, to each PDF.

Customized rules can also be setup when autofiling is initially configured, and can be adjusted when needed and cloned for similar documents.

The time and billing integrate links Thomson Reuters Practice CS and Wolters Kluwer's CCH Practice Management software directly with Doc.It Suite. With the integration, any creating or modifying your time and billing software results in an automatic update to that client information in Doc.It. This integration includes a connection to Doc.It's wokrlfow so once task maping has been applied, time entries made in the time and billing software. will be captured and automatically flow into Doc.It Workflow. Completion of tasks will also be automatically updated within Doc.It.

Due-date Tracking has been given additional workflow functionality. Projects can be viewed and their status tracked against due dates and automated due-dates can be created by using a a table created by the firm, that is based on its due-date rules.

In the workflow area, groups who will work on a project with concurrent tasks can be created. Budgets may be entered by the project lead with time tracked by users while actual costs and status of each project can be reported.

On the scheduling side, administrators plan resources tied to engagements and users view their work for a given period of time. Resources which are under- or over-utilized can be appropriately adjusted.
