Bob Scott, editor of The Progressive Accountant and Bob Scott's Insights, has received an award for accounting industry press coverage from K2 Enterprises. K2 honored Scott's work as part of the group's 2011 selection of its 10th Annual Quality Awards.

Still bucking an economy in which sluggish business formation is a drag on results, Paychex reported a 13-percent increase in net income on a 9-percent increase in revenue for the first quarter ended August 31.
