The last two weeks of the tax season were stronger than expected, Blucora said this week. The company, which owns the TaxAct line, raised its forecast for the second quarter ending June 30 and for 2021.

The Internal Revenue Service has revised its Non-filer Sign-up tool  to enable for families  that usually do not normally file tax returns register for the monthly Advance Child Tax Credit payments. It is scheduled to be available on July 15.

 Dewey Forrester has joined payments company Bill.com as VP of its channel team. That follows three-and-a-half years at Sage where he held leadership positions in its channel program.
