Cloud use for business applications is higher for distributors in North America than in EMEA and Australia, according to a recent survey by Sage. The survey showed that 43 percent of distributors on this continent had a hybrid on-premise cloud ERP system.

Intuit is ending the 50-percent wholesale discount receive on QuickBooks Online Essentials and Plus. The software company is also hiking prices, explaining that it has added significant features and also needs the price raises to provide more support.

Republic Bank & Trust Company is selling its Tax Refund Solutions Business to Green Dot Corp. The Kentucky-based bank will receive $165 million for the business which was hammered by the changes in the tax season and the issuance of economic impact payments.
