Georgia Preparer Faces 17 Years in Fraud Case

A tax return preparer from Macon, Ga., faces up to 17 years in prison and a fine of $500,000 after pleading guilty to charges involving phony tax returns. Willie C. Grant admitted to using former clients' names - many of them elderly or deceased - and Social Security numbers to file returns without their knowledge.
