Thomson Reuters has released a special report, An Overview of the New Accounting Model for Leases. The report addresses FASB’s guidance on leases, which was issued in February 2016: FASB’s Accounting Standards Update (ASU) No. 2016-02, Leases (Topic 842).

Kashoo is forming a focus group to react to new features in its online financial software. The company says that up to 10 small business people chosen to evaluate the changes  They may also participate in testing before a broader release this fall.

Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting has launched CCH Axcess Financial Prep, an online trial balance application. Financial Prep utilizes the same database used by other members of the Axcess software family.
