Bonnie McWilliams Nagayama, who was well-known in the QuickBooks community, has passed away. President of the CPA firm McWilliams & Associates, Nagayama was described on Intuit's Firm of the Future website as "one of the elite few members of the Intuit Trainer/Writer Network." She founded her firm in October 1992.

Avalara, which markets cloud-based sales tax applications, will hold its second Crush conference in Austin, Texas, on May 2 and 3. The company says attendees will include accounting professionals and financial executives.

RKL has named four partners to service line leadership position. CEO Edward W. Monborne says the recent move was part of the strategy outlined in the Lancaster, Pa.-based firm's 2020 strategic plan.
