Bowman Names Three Partners 1
Bowman & Co. has named three staff members to the partner ship group this month. The New Jersey CPA firm promoted Kenneth M. Drews, Michael Thilker and Josette Traversa.
Drewes joined the firm’s Governmental Services Department in 2009 with expertise in audits of county and municipal governments, school districts, charter schools, fire districts, and federal and state financial assistance programs.
Besides being a CPA, he is also licensed as a Registered Municipal Accountant, and as a Public School Accountant in New Jersey and is also a Certified Municipal Finance Officer. He has also been certified by the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, Division of Local Government Services as a Certified Municipal Finance Officer.
Working in the Commercial Services Department, Thilker has worked at Bowman since April 2013 and is a CPA in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. His clients mainly include housing authorities and non-profit affordable housing organizations and his experience includes audits of non-profits.
Traversa came to Bowman in September 2022 after near four years at CPA firm Citrin Cooperman where she was director of international tax services from November 2018 and partner from October 2021 until she joined Bowman. Before that, she spent two-and-a-half years at D&H Global Tax Group.
She primarily focuses on tax matters and is responsible for a wide range of individuals and businesses with experience that includes
tax consulting and review for individuals, partnerships and S Corporations.

Joseph D. Moye, has resigned his position as president of Blackbaud's Enterprise Customer Business unit. The resignation is effective January 30 with Moye continuing as an employee until March 15 in a transitional capacity. Blackbaud says Moye is leaving for personal reasons.
Xero Drops Revenue Job Slot

Xero has discontinued the job of chief revenue officer. The company said the move stemmed from the addition of a chief marketing officer who has responsibility for online sales and marketing, and the growth in regional capabilities.

Vada Hill, who has held top marketing jobs at Fannie Mae and Taco Bell, has been named chief marketing officer by Jackson Hewitt Tax Service. It is the latest in a series of executive changes at the Parsippany, N.J.-based tax preparation chain in 2014 that included the appointment of a new CEO.
Nonprofit Veteran Hollrah Joins Intacct

Kent Hollrah, a veteran of the nonprofit software market, has joined Intacct to lead its not-for-profit operations. Hollrah had been president of Orange Leap, which makes fundraising software for nonprofits. His new position was not formally announced. However, he discussed his role during company's Intacct Advantage conference in Orlando, Fla., last week.

Liberty Tax Service has named Robert Lougen as VP of operations. Lougen spent 23 years with H&R Block, with his last position as president of H&R Block Canada from June 2004 through August 2012. Since then, he has served as president of his own consulting company and as an advisor to a private equity intermediary.
Xero's North American CEO Resigns

Peter Karpas, the CEO of Xero's North American operations, is stepping down from his job. The company made the disclosure earlier this month in a filing with the New Zealand Stock Exchange. It did not give an end date for Karpas, who was hired as the first person the position in February.

Dan Maurer, SVP of Small Business Management Solutions, is retiring from Intuit after nearly nine years in executive roles. He will begin a transitional non-executive role tomorrow which will last through his retirement on August 26.

Bill.com has named two executives, John Rettig as CFO and Tanya Roberts as VP of corporate marketing. Rettig most recently served as the CFO of digital media company Exponential Interactive were he worked from 2007 until taking the job with Palo Alto, Calif.-based Bill.com.

SEC Restores KMJ Corbin CPA to Practice

The Securities and Exchange Commission has restored the ability of Anthony J. Price, audit partner with KMJ Corbin & Co. to practice before that body. Corbin was barred from practicing before the SEC in September 2010 for his role in the audits and reviews of the financial statements of Home Solutions of America.
