The Steve Kelly era at Sage has ended. The CEO this week resigned as director and CEO of the Sage Group, but will not leave the company until May 31, the company said. CFO Stephen Hare, who has become interim COO, will run the company until a replacement can be replaced.

Joe Kaplan, CEO of Paya (formerly Sage Payments) died while on vacation with his family in Bermuda on Friday, July 27, the company has announced. Kaplan was hired as CEO in October of Paya, which acquired by GTCR as it spun out from Sage.
