CompuPay Buys Priority Payroll

MIRAMAR, Fla. – CompuPay has continued on its series of acquisitions with the purchase of Priority Payroll, a Henderson, Nev.-based company founded in 2003. CompuPay said it would continue to operate the office just outside Las Vegas and would retain many of Priority's operations personnel. Terms were not disclosed
Tax & Accounting Outpaces Thomson Reuters Total

With Thomson Reuters results still showing the impact of a sluggish economy, revenue from its Tax & Accounting business was relatively strong. Strong in this scenario means with the parent showing a 2- percent drop in revenue, the 6-percent growth registered by the tax and accounting operations - with four percentage points from acquisitions - were a bright spot.
American Results Weaker than Sage Top Line

Although Sage improved profitability and cut its revenue decline worldwide, revenue in North America still dropped at a faster rate than the rest of the company for the half ended March 31. Organic North American revenue dropped 5 percent, compared to the year ago half. But that was better than the 8 percent decline for the last half of fiscal 2009 which ended on September 30.
