The low-cost accounting package Sage One has been relaunched in the United States. The online application has apparently been repriced and plans for previously announced editions do not appear to have materialized. The new initiative was announced by Sage CEO Stephen Kelley during the recent webcast of earnings for the half ended March 31.

Cloud-based, ClientLink Pro enables users to access files, create forms and share documents via secure client portals. Professionals and clients can jointly view documents online, discuss them via live chat and highlight sections being considered.

A McGladrey partner has been barred from practicing before the Securities and Exchange Commission for at least three years. Simon Lesser, age 58 of Wilmette, Ill., must also pay a $75,000 civil money penalty for what the SEC said was his failure to address related-party relationships in which a hedge fund illegally charged $3 million in expenses to feeder funds.
