Brad Smith who has held the job of CEO of Intuit since January 2008, will retire at the end of the year. He will be replaced on January 1 by Sasan Goodarzi, EVP and GM of Intuit’s Small Business and Self-Employed Group.

Joe Kaplan, CEO of Paya (formerly Sage Payments) died while on vacation with his family in Bermuda on Friday, July 27, the company has announced. Kaplan was hired as CEO in October of Paya, which acquired by GTCR as it spun out from Sage.

RSM US has named E.J. Nedder as national tax leader effective September 1. He will serve as a member of RSM’s leadership team, reporting to CEO Joe Adams. He succeeds Jeff Johannesen, who recently became the firm’s chief strategy and innovation officer.

Veteran ADP Sales Exec Retiring

Ed Flynn, who headed ADP’s sales efforts from 2011 through 2017, is retiring. The company said during its recent Investors Day that Flynn’s plans led it to change jobs of a number of executives. The position of president of global enterprise solutions, Flynn’s most recent title, will not be filled. Flynn had worked for ADP since September 1988.

Krista Endsley, who headed Sage’s former nonprofit software business and later Abila, has become president of Cantata Health. Based in Hauppauge, N.Y. Cantata also hired Jonathan Isaacs as CEO at the same time Endsley joined.
