The 2012 PCPS Succession Survey is out and provides us with data from almost 1,000 firms across the county on how they are dealing (or not) with succession. What is your process for staying in touch with your customers? Believe it or not, most companies only send newsletters or special offers to existing customers. And 95 percent of the time, those newsletters and email are about a company pounding their chest or about what else they are trying to sell. Then, when business is down and you need revenue, you are embarrassed to reach out to existing customers because you don't want to look like you are selling them something.
